I've been in a relationship with my girlfriend for 1.5 years. She's not very expressive with love and affection, and it's been bothering me. For example, she rarely says "I love you" unless I say it first, and she doesn't compliment me much either.
I've talked to her about how this makes me feel, but she says it's just her personality and that she can't change it. I understand that people express love differently, but I'm struggling with feeling emotionally fulfilled.
I want to communicate my needs without making her feel pressured or uncomfortable. Iām just not sure how to approach this in a way that makes both of us feel understood and respected.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How can I navigate this without damaging our relationship?
