I’ve been in a relationship with my girlfriend for 1.5 years. She’s not very expressive with love and affection, and it bothers me. For example, she rarely says “I love you” unless I say it first, and she rarely compliments me. I’ve told her how this makes me feel, but she says it’s just her personality and that she can’t change it.
I understand that people express love differently, but I’m struggling with feeling emotionally fulfilled. I’m not sure how to communicate my needs without making her feel pressured or uncomfortable. How can I approach this conversation in a way that makes both of us feel understood and respected? Any advice on handling emotional differences in relationships?
