My partner and I have been together for 11 years now and have three kids together. The other day I grabbed her phone and noticed that there was a contact in their messages by the name of âquestionâ. Turns out that contact was her ex. I didnât see all the messages as I have seen enough due to my heart going cold. What Iâve seen on the messages was that she still misses and loves her ex that she dated when she was about 15/16 years old. In the messages it said that she was never in love with me but has love for me, that it is hard to love anyone else they way she loved him. She told him all she knows that he was brought back to her life for a reason and that sheâs not letting go of him again. He also said the same thing about his current and past relationships. After confronting her, she stated that itâs not what it looks like, she said that he found her on Facebook and she gave him her number. She said that she said what she said because his brother died and was trying to make him feel better. She did admit that he was her first love but that she donât want to be with him, his the past and she wants to be with me. I asked why they broke up in the first place and she said because he was lazy and didnât want to get up and get a job. Not sure how they lost contact from there. I have yet to speak to her more about this but thatâs all I got from our short conversation. Just want to get some feedback on this. I have talked to a couple people and obviously they are saying to leave her which one things tells me I do but itâs just harder since we have three kids together being 2,6 and 10. She stated what she wanted me to do and I told her itâs up to you what you want to do, because they way I see it, is that if you truly only want to be me, you will block him and never speak to him again, I donât see why I will need to tell her to do that. Anyways, all positive and useful feedback is appreciated!
