So I don't know how to begin, I'll try my best because I want to be as objective as possible.
My ex-girlfriend and I dated for a year and half, most of it was LDR because I met her in California and I moved back home after I landed a job in the PNW. We've had our fair share of conflicts which has escalated to verbal arguments. I've always tried to be kind and understanding of her mood swings however there were instances where she has bit me and threw a TV remote in my face. We broke up and after 3mo of no-contact, we decided to give it another shot thinking that we are healed people. She spent most of the summer living with me at my place. We spent a lot of time together, literally every day when I'm not sleeping or at work. One night, she saw me on my phone and thought I was talking to other girls and demanded to see my phone. Initially I thought it was an unreasonable demand and did not want to and she got even more upset. I eventually folded and gave her my phone however she was so upset and did not want it anymore. I grabbed her hand put my phone on in her palm however she kept pulling away. Eventually, she was so upset she called the police saying that I was "aggressive". I was in disbelief and decided to walk into the living room and sat there and contemplated the possibility of me going to jail that night and losing my job. The police came and talked to us separately. I told them my side of the story and obviously no crime was committed and let me go. After that, I immediately ended the relationship, grabbed my belongings and left (I couldn't ask her to leave my apartment because she had nowhere else to go). She tried to talk to my family and reached out to me however I was not having it and eventually, I bought her a flight to return home. I do feel guilty about not allowing her to explain what happened and why she felt like the cops were needed. Any advice? Thanks.
