Dear Redditors -

My husband (just married a few weeks ago) and I started on a normal enough sexual relationship. We had normal foreplay/oral and vaginal sex in various positions. I think we were both relatively experienced and adventurous. About three months in we started having anal sex - something both of us had done in our past relationships. Quickly it became our 'go to.'

I like to use a small suction toy on my clit while having sex and there is something about the combination of anal penetration and clitoral stimulation that hits differently. Now, fast forward a few years later, I find myself preferring anal over vaginal so much so that I will sometimes tell him 'no' when he asks for vaginal. I am even experiencing new sensations from my asshole being fingered or licked - something like electricity when he is eating it.

I know people aren't always out there publicly about their sexual preferences and some of these things are still taboo socially, so I am turning to Reddit to ask - is there any downside to strongly prefer anal? We obviously plan to have children and every once in a while still do things the more traditional way - just wondering if this is a phase or it if could be my future & if there is anything wrong with it :)?

Beyond that, I wonder specifically if there any couples who have had a similar experience & what advise you might have. Part of the thrill initially was that it was exciting and different and 'forbidden' - I would hate to have a mid-life crisis at 35 because the adventure is gone. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
