So I've been offered a job at a shutdown. I would be out of town for 3 weeks. She dosnt want me to go because she'll miss me. But at the same time for those 3 weeks I'll take home 10k. I'm trying to tell her that I need to work when work is there. I work in the oil industry so it's up and down. I know it's hard on her. But for that kinda money in that time line just seems like a waste to me. She can also come stay the weekends with me at the hotel. I'm trying to plan for the future and all she says is it's money over her. I'm not putting money over her it's just hard not to when I can do this and take a week off or we can go on vacation

So I guess am I being the asshole for wanting to go?
