Long distance is getting bad for mental health, but my feelings for someone is too strong (ages and genders are irrelevant here but it's required so bleh. Me 21f my ex 22m) any general advice?
Post Body

So up until a couple months ago I was in a great relationship. But because of the whole long distance thing and also a lot of stuff they were going through it was best for my mental health to demote it to a friendship. I wanted to explore people in my area but when I think about my ex being with other people I get upset and I really miss them. But I also like some of the people I met locally and I think they would make good Partners if it got to that one day. So it's complicated. I've already tried being poly in the past but it never works out.
