So my boyfriend and I have been together for 8 years. We have had ups and downs of course especially since we have a young son together. Note: he has cheated on me before but we worked past that. (I know, I know) Every single time I look over at his phone on his instagram explore page theres always girls with their butts or boobs out. Obviously thirst traps to have men click on it. I have brought this up to him before and he always says he doesn’t click on any of it, it just shows up. But my instagram explore page is full of cooking and things I do click on or like. His explanation does not make sense to me at all. Don’t get me wrong, I do consider myself pretty and in shape for the most part but not as pretty as these girls on social media. It bothers me so much and makes me so depressed and insecure seeing these on his page because Im sure he looks at them and wishes I looked as good as them. He probably sighs when he realizes I’m his Gf lol. I have talked to him before about this and he doesn’t follow any of these girls but he clearly still clicks or likes the pictures for them to be popping up. I am tired of feeling crazy because I am uncomfortable with it. I just want to be good enough for him and I never am. I’m tired of comparing myself to what he has on his social media. do want to work things out since we do have a family and I don’t want to break that up.

I’m wondering, does the instagram algorithm have to do with what they view/like? I am sure it is like that but he gaslights me to think different.
