So my bf of 3 months (21M) is a med school student while I (19F) is in law school. We are both from comfortable familial backgrounds, while he was gifted two Japanese sports cars by his father. Recently he acted very patronising, rude and belittling to me. Example 1: He randomly told me I look so good with him as my boyfriend since he has two nice cars (why are the cars even a factor? They aren’t even super cars??). 2. He complained about my flat being too small, constantly (who was he to judge?) 3. He told me law students are stupid, and that we aren’t all rounders which means we’re all idiots. 4. His father’s convertible broke and when discussing new cars, I brought up a hybrid car as an option. He started saying EVs r for poor people. I told him to buy a Ferrari if he’s that posh, he coudlnt afford, great success (in borat voice). 5. HE TOLD ME HES THE BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO ME IN MY LIFE 6. He told me I’ll never make as much money as him so he’s prepared to pay my way (wtf????). Adding on top of that, he met my mom today for dinner. For most Chinese families, meeting the parent is a big deal and the boyfriend usually pays for the dinner. This guy just sat on his phone laughing at memes when the bill came. There were also times where he uses vile and dehumanising language when talking about other women, calling them horrible names. He called a guy by a slur because he went to a car meet in his van. Isn’t car meets meant to be for car lovers to express appreciation for cars, as opposed to a wealth competition??

I’m literally a law student, while I may not be as science inclined as him, by no means am I stupid. And even if I was, no one deserves to be spoken down to like that. I feel so disrespected by him. Idk whether to just block him and disappear out of his life or is it worth sitting him down and telling him the problems I have with his attitude?
