My boyfriend and I have been together 2 years, he moved into my house about six months ago due to him losing his job because of mass layoffs at his company. Because of him losing his job I didn't mind paying for majority of the rent. I paid 1000 and he paid 600 every month. We are on the same phone and internet bill and he used to give me half for that, but he's even stopped doing that. The only thing he fully pays for are the groceries. I didn't have an issue with it at all because he lost his job but he quickly found a decent paying management job about four months ago and now he makes more than me. I figured he would start splitting half but every month he has an excuse why he can't. I still pay majority of the rent and he's stopped giving me money for bills. I pay the entirety of the electricity bill and phone bill. The only reason he gives is that he has an expensive car payment (he leased a Tesla for some reason) and I don't think he understands how difficult it is for me to pay majority of things. The only things he pays for are the groceries, household products, and the Netflix account. I pay for mostly everything and it's getting to be fucking irritating. I'm not good at confrontation but after today when he asked me money for gas I'm losing it. I don't know where he spends all his money but it always seems to be gone. Anyways, I need some advice on what to say to him, and if this is grounds for a breakup or do you think this is something we can get past.
