Is rekindling things over time with me 19F and 23M a potential option?
Post Body

I 19F went through a breakup about 6 months ago with 23M. The relationship lasted around 9 months. Things were looking serious until he broke things off due to him graduating college and wanting to focus on finding his career and moving back home(an hour away) and just didn’t see our life stages working. For a while before he actually moved we still talked and hung out closely but he made it pretty clear that he wasn’t gonna change his mind on getting back together(at all).

Since he’s moved away we still talk somewhat occasionally. Just catch up on what’s new. No flirting or anything. We didn’t end on bad terms and we still respect and care about each other. We just plan to maintain a friendship. Over time I just started thinking, is there any chance of rekindling or starting over with the relationship in the future?

Once I graduate I plan to move closer to him( not specifically for him, my siblings live closer to where he is now), and time will have passed so would trying again be possible even with him saying he doesn’t see himself changing his mind?

For now, I’ve just been preparing for school. I’m planning to graduate early so that’ll occupy me(until next year, 2026, which is when I’m hoping to graduate. If not it’ll be winter or spring of 2027) but that thought just ran through my head. I just have a weird feeling that our story isn’t over. What do you think? No hate please
