For background my gf and I both have traumatic backgrounds yada yada so we're both not inherently horrible to each other on purpose.
Ok so my gf and I have been fighting a lot and it keeps getting to a point where we keep saying toxic crap towards each other but immediately regret it. But the problem is, we're both stubborn a$$holes. So naturally instead of apologizing and working towards resolve, we just try to one up each other... I'm tired of it and so is she but we are both apparently wired weird still from our pasts and it's just eating us alive. Idk how to rectify it anymore and I just want us to be happy. Any advice will help Andi will gladly give ay info if asked.
Basically, when things get tense and lives are hectic and the communication gets lost, how would you go about fixing that?
