My partner has been only in open relationships for the past half decade. She is willing to switch to monogamy with me because she feels this is different. However, I doubt this. I think she will feel trapped. I'm not sure if she can handle monogamy or if she is only doing this for the fear of losing me because I declined to have open relationship.

For the past half decade, I've been single-polyamorous but now I want monogamy. It's been so long without monogamy that I forgot what it feels like. All I know is that with this girl, I would either want monogamy or nothing at all.

Has anyone here switched from open or polyamory to monogamy? How was your experience?
