My bf never says I love you

My bf is 42 and I’m 38. We were friends for three years before we started dating. We started dating a few months ago. I was always in love with him. He wasn’t really thinking that way I guess. Anyway, I don’t force anyone nor want to and I get that we started dating yinf recently. What confuses me is he does EVERYTHING he can for me. He’s made sure I had everything that I truly needed. If I’m sick he will bring me meds and drinks and food. I ask him for nothing. He just does it. He’s truly a great man I’m so incredibly Ty for. My question is… does a man do these things if he doesn’t love you? Think he’s just scared to say it? He shows so many signs but it just doesn’t leave his mouth.
