My (23f) best friend (23f) of six years won’t leave her boyfriends side
Post Body

My best friend (J) (23f) and I (23f) used to hangout several times a week for the past 6 years. J got a new boyfriend about two and a half months ago, and although he seems like a nice guy, he is with her literally 24/7 and stays at her house every single night- I’m not even exaggerating, if he needs to get something from his house J comes with, if they need to run errands they go together. The only time they are apart is when they work, which is part time for both of them, and during that time J talks about missing him. J and I went on a trip with our friend group two months ago and that was the last time J and her boyfriend didn’t have a sleep over. I have seen J around five times since then, and every single time her boyfriend is there, aside from one time about a month ago. We went from hanging out pretty much everyday to this. I have made a ton of efforts to do things with her, but she won’t leave her boyfriend. I have stopped asking her to do things to see if she would make plans with me, but now I haven’t seen her for two weeks, even with her boyfriend. She isn’t hanging out with anyone else from our friend group at all either. I have made somewhat joking comments about her never seeing me or any of her other friends, but she doesn’t seem to comprehend that it’s royally pissing me off. Why do so many girls always ditch their friends when they get in a relationship? How can I get her to be less codependent with her boyfriend and actually hangout with me.
