Hi, like the title says, after weeks of fighting (big, loud, hours long fights) I'm ending things with my partner. We are long distance and I happen go be in town to visit her and my family. I left her place the other day after a fight that started the night before and carried in to the morning. I want to end things in person, even more so because I'm actually close by. However, I'm worried that when she calls me to discuss and make up from our fight, that she'll ask me if I'm going to break up with her. I don't want to lie or obviously deflect, just to do it in person, but I also don't want to take some verbal abuse for breaking up via text, because she asked and I answered honestly. What can I do? Is there a way to navigate this in a way that doesn't cause any added pain unnecessarily?
