Kind of an odd situation. We've been married for 11 years, and have 4 children together, ages 2 to 9. We separated last year due to physical and mental health issues on my end (39m). We've recently decided to try to work things out slowly, and get to know each other as we are now, rather than who we WERE.
The problem is, our whole marriage has been family/child focused, so our "dates" were grocery shopping after church typically. I honestly don't know how to date anymore, and with my issues last year, I don't even know what my interests are anymore. So my idea of a proper date is going out for a nice dinner, and that's all I really know. Also, unfortunately, our town is very limited on options. All we really have is the food industry and car dealerships. How romantic right?
Can you fine folks give me some ideas to take her out on a meaningful date that's more than dinner and a movie, and isn't family oriented?
