Going to try to make this short….. I was with my ex( 38f) I’m 38 too. for 10 years… I was a horrible boyfriend most of it. Talking to other women, cheating, lying, bad with money, it all came to a head of late and she had enough… I got behind on my mortgage and needed my parents help.. almost 20k worth( this is aside from everything else else they’ve helped with… home repairs, down payment, paying for a remodel. Now they do live with us when they are not in Arizona for the winter…. Not paying rent, but paying utilities. Come to now, my ex has had enough( I don’t blame her) but now she feels like I owe her 50k or more… I don’t have it, and I would have to get help from my parents. They would have to take from their retirement… I get I fucked up, and I’m willing to bear responsibility for everything I did. But my parents shouldn’t have to destroy their retirement because of my actions… or should they?

Should I pay my ex back? I’m trying to be more responsible, and get my life on track..save money, for once….but now I’ll have a mortgage to pay on my own, bills and to pay my ex??
