I’m a very politically involved person and enjoy being informed. This comes with having a hard time finding an effective audience to talk about what’s going on at home and abroad. My hope is that I can be able to talk about these things with my partner, but I’m constantly met with, ‘this is too heavy’ or ‘this isn’t a good time for this information’. I try to find a good time to talk about it, with it being a huge focus of my free time, but it’s consistently met with the same response. She’s not as passionate about this as me, and that’s completely okay, but I feel more and more silenced. Especially in times when there is a lot going on that I am analyzing myself and want to talk about with someone. And I feel that this shunts my own analysis of current events. I guess I just want to see about finding effective tactics to be able to instigate the conversation?
