I'm [28m] new to this open poly dynamic and whenever we go out, I get this sense of general anxiety that maybe I'm too possessive, touchy and follow my partner around too much, so I usually end up giving her plenty of space.

Last night for example, we went to a show with some friends. I was talking to my partner [30f] a bit, talking to friends, dancing, then I was walking around getting lost in the venue talking to random people, making friends, hitting on a few people, etc. I saw her doing the same thing. Flirting, exchanging numbers, even making out with people.

Sometimes this anxiety prevents me from having a good time, because I'm sometimes more worried about providing my partner plenty of space and not being too possessive and touchy. Anyone experiencing something similar?
