Terminology: seeking opinion on "anchor"
Post Body

I've seen this popup among ENM practicers who are non-hierarchal and don't want to use "primary" or "nesting partner."

Am I alone in thinking that this is just a new phrase in hierarchy denial?

I think a new term is needed because of non-hierarchal abuse. Minimal hierarchy is honest but be too easily misconstrued by all parties and also ripe for abuse.

How does everyone else communicate that a partner of 15 years is going to be more stable in their relationship with you than one of 2 months; but that doesn't mean that other partner will be limiting or dictating rules of the new relationship as it progresses?
