Why is it so hard finding other poly people?

So my wife and I are in an open marriage to be poly, and she has it easy finding people who are comfortable with it because she is a woman, but I can't find any women that are comfortable with it near our area, it often makes me jealous of my wife because she has so much luck and I have none, any advice?
