I know there have always been a few of these, but lately I feel like lately there have been more and more low-effort image posts here that aren't really about polyamory. I come to this subreddit largely for the discussion, as well as the occasional image that is actually relevant to polyamory (like this one, for example). It's annoying to have most of the hottest posts be low effort image posts.
I'm going to use a couple recent posts as examples, but I don't mean to single them out in particular.
This post of three cute dogs wagging their tails, with one in the middle being hit by them. Yeah, I get it, it's like they're a triad or something if looked at in the right light, but honestly it really has nothing to do with polyamory. They're just cute dogs.
Or how about this post? It's picture of a coupon at a grocery store to buy 3 greeting cards and get one free. I guess we're supposed to think "ah! they could buy multiple valentine's cards, one for each partner, HEB is sending subtle poly messages". No, HEB is not sending subtle poly messages, and outside of the context of this sub, that image would not be seen as having anything to do with polyamory.
You get my point. They're low-effort, at best are only super tangentially related to polyamory, and are often the same kinds of things over and over (e.g. ads whose meaning can be twisted to vaguely imply polyamory, cute animal pictures with 3 animals, very large beds).
I personally would like it if the mods moderated image posts more heavily to remove these kinds of low-effort posts from the sub. Does anyone else feel the same?
