Men who are successful at polyamory/nonmonogamy dating, how do you do it?

We see a lot of threads about the (real) difficulties men (and women) who want to date women face. But there seem to be a lot of men who do successfully date, but who are less vocal about their experiences.
So, men of /r/polyamory who are successful at dating, how do you do it? How did you meet your partners? Do you have any constructive advice for those of us who struggle (beyond the obvious, like ādonāt send dick picsā and āread her profileā)?
