Getting through a breakup
Post Body

I'm having a hard time moving on with my recent breakup. It was one in which I expected but not quite ready for.

Let me elaborate. I was in a triad with a married couple. I had originally only been interested in the husband as we were friends. (Knew for about 6 months before he asked me out) He soon introduced me to his wife and we had a quick connection. She soon asked me out. The relationship with the husband skyrocketed where as the the relationship with the wife was a slow boat ride. In the end I fell in love with the both of them. However the boat slowly started to sink with the wife. Without too much detail she broke up with me after realizing she may not even be interested in women at all. I saw the boat sinking many months before. I should have grabbed a life raft but I was hoping I could fix the boat.

That did not work, and I am sure I took part in steering it into the rocks. But its ended now and I am trying to swim to shore.

This has left me heartbroken. Normally in a relationship it would mean the end of any contact or reminder of them. I would separate myself and heal. I can't do that with this relationship. The husband being a constant reminder of her. I'm not sure what to do as I feel like I am just hurting him because I'm hurting. He did nothing wrong. Its just hard to be around him at the moment.

I'm not sure what direction to go to heal and not hurt someone in the process. Any advice would be appreciated.
