Throwaway
I won’t see my partner for about 3 weeks starting today. It feels to childish to say, but I’m not taking it well. We’ve been together almost 8 months.
Between the holidays, familial commitments, travels pertaining to both, and the fact that my partner has 50% custody of his daughter, we won’t see each other for 3 weeks. And I’m used to seeing him every week, usually for multiple overnights in a row.
Neither of us have any other partners at the moment, and even so, it’s not like people are replaceable and can substitute one for the other. I’m really going to miss him. Especially since we won’t be together for either of the upcoming holidays. It’s just tough.
Outside of communication (texts and calls) how do you all cope? I’m on break from school, but do have friends and family and hobbies, but that doesn’t seem to help much.
