Even if you know that polyamory is the only relationship structure that works for you, and even if you’re totally happy in your relationships… do any of you find yourself envying friends who move along so much faster in their relationships?
Maybe it’s just the commitment I envy, that inherent in monogamy that I no longer have in the same way.
Maybe it’s because I worry that now I’m polyamorous, I won’t ever have a committed relationship that feels like commitment in monogamy, I dunno.
My best friend is already looking at houses together with her new girlfriend after 4 months. Meeting the parents, already have a Mexico trip booked and planned for March. Typical lesbians. Lol.
Meanwhile my new beau of 4 months and I are… still seeing each other once a week. And loving it! But do we have a future together? I don’t know.
Maybe the relationship escalator is just slower in poly, or looks different altogether and I just need to get used to it?
