I feel like as I’ve become more experienced with polyamory and relationships that are off of the escalator, and as I’ve learned more about NRE, I’ve been more hesitant to say I love you early in the relationship. Not because I’m waiting a prescribed amount of time. But before I say it, I really want to think about what it means to me. I’m curious what it means to others.
Do you say it as soon as you get the urge to? Even if it’s early and you don’t know them super well yet? Does loving someone require knowing them well? Do you think you can truly love someone in NRE, or do you have to have conflicts and disillusionment first, and get them off of your pedestal?
