Have you ever been on a break with your primary partner? Did that work out for you?
Me and my partner decided to take a break to gain some perspective on our relationship and towards each other. The issues are mainly due to our communication and expectations with each other and not to poly. We are both new to the enm/poly and we were still learning to navigate things and it’s giving me major anxiety. We always used to share with each other about dates, hook ups, to build trust on the process and learn our boundaries.
We have been No Contact for a few days and I’m anxious about all of this… about the course of the relationship, the waiting to start to feel better and start having some clarity, but specially about their romantic/sexual life for which I will not know anything until we meet and talk again. Please don’t judge :(
I’m not currently dating anyone and don’t even have the headspace for that.
Do you have advice for this phase/experience?
