Entanglement is totally normal, enmeshment is not
Post Body

Please, can we stop conflating these two words?

There is a thread where someone asked for straight answers and about half of the folks here seem confused. These two words are not “the same” or mean the same things.

Enmeshment is never healthy. It’s a word used by clinicians. It’s not about sharing a checking account or raising kids together

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enmeshment

Entanglement is the totally normal healthy process of sharing resources, and the bonds that make that possible.

Confusing these two words makes your communication less, not more, clear.

Edit: added the correct link.
