Just venting out something that happened to me today, to see if anyone had a similar experience
I (F22) have two partners at the moment (M23 and NB22), both of which I've been in a relationship for over a year, and them having only me as a partner. So, today I went to make my first ever blood donation, and was pretty excited about it. But during the questions of the interview, I ended up saying that I had two stable sexual partners, and because of that they couldn't let me donate blood. The law in my country states that "you can donate if you have only one sexual partner for over 6 months".
So yeah, I'm pretty sad/pissed about this. I still got a little bit of my blood taken out to be a bone marrow donor, but knowing that for as long as I'm in a polyamory relationship status I won't be able to donate blood, even with stable partners or doing regular check ups for STIs and STDs, it's just really upsetting.
How do you guys manage to do this kind of medical stuff?
