The poly community is small here, I made a new friend who I had a lot in common with and was excited to get to know better but she’s now seeing my ex who I ended things with when he showed a callousness to him that I was shocked to see and hurt me deeply with his actions. Seeing her social media with hints of him has triggered me a few times and I’m thinking I may need to give up on the friendship to protect my peace. We had still been in the early stages of getting to know each other so it’s not a huge deal, I just saw lots of potential since we had so much in common so I’m sad and wanted to reach out for support. Anyone else been in a similar position? Thoughts?
