dating- why do interested men ask me if my partner is male or female?

This mostly pertains to online dating. I’m bi. And a lot of the men who are interested in meeting end up asking me if my partner is a man or a woman. I don’t understand why they ask this or why it matters? Should I consider this a red flag?
