How do you show intention in your relationships?

Post Body

I feel that I exhaust myself taking care of the mundane daily tasks, fetching things partner asks for, planning and cooking the meals, grocery shopping… Things of that nature. Nesting partner of 12 years feels I don’t show intentional love. I try to take care of the things that have to be done to reduce their load, and I try to do sweet things- for example run partner a bath, buy surprise candy to satiate their sweet tooth, offer physical comfort. I’m more of a go with the flow person and don’t understand how to bridge this gap that is the source of a lot of tension. Any advice or examples?
