Friend Crush
Post Body

Hello,

Im in a very happy long term relationship with my current wife F(32). We recently decided to open up our relationship. Weā€™ve read the books tried to be thoughtful and have all the hard convos. Itā€™s still all a work in progress.

I am on Bumble BFF as well as regular Bumble. Just trying to build my community as being a queer person in a smaller town we need friends. So Iā€™ve been open to friendship along with new relationships.

I met someone 6 months ago who I really thought was just friend ā€œvibesā€ but over time and as Iā€™ve gotten to know her more Iā€™ve developed feelings for her. Iā€™ve expressed this to my wife and she doesnā€™t have tons of reservations just has brought up she doesnā€™t want me to lose a friend and also enjoys this persons company and friendship.

Im not sure if this person is Poly, we are still somewhat new in our friendship and Iā€™m not quite sure how to even bring it up. Is this a situation where I should just straight up tell her my wife and i practice ENM to see how she reacts? Should I tell her there is a vibe and I have a small crush? Im just not sure how to move forward. I want to gently brooch the subject in a straight forward way, that is respectful to her and wonā€™t ruin my friendship.
