We made an impromptu 2 hour trip today to visit my partners mom. This was the first time she has met any of his partners aside from his wife. It was just me, him and the kids because wifey was with her bf at her other partners house.

His mom was really hesitant to accept his polyamory relationship status when him and wifey opened up. (We didn’t surprise her, we called ahead of time so she knew who was coming)

It was really sweet. She was so nice to my kids and invited us back sometime soon. She gives Christmas money instead of gifts and took my partner aside and wanted him to make sure that my kids got some of the money for his family. Which I thought was really sweet.

Anyways- it was nice finally meeting his mom and being able to take that step.
