Attaching my Poly Identity to my Ex

I’m 31F. Married to my beloved partner of 10 years. I recently ended my “first poly relationship” and I think I’m attached to my ex because dating them “made me poly.” I ended it because I didn’t want to continue falling in love with someone who (recently informed me) they were in a closed-poly relationship.

Any way, my heart feels like it’ll never love a SECOND partner again, among other feelings (gratitude, anger, inadequacy, bad-assery). Mostly going through sad girl summer here but also I’ve been poly before I learned the word. Would love some anecdotes. Thank you.
