Hello all, I have been possibly interested in trying a sort of poly dynamic with someone I know. I am very open minded about a lot of things, in whatever dynamic I’m in i just want to know that my partner is sticking to what our base expectations and communications are agreeing to. No lies or omissions basically. I think I could handle being in that type of dynamic however I have a concern…

Because of my life experiences and spirituality I believe we are spiritual beings and we all have a core of energy. When we engage in sex with another person, primarily penetration but also oral for sure - we exchange an energy with the person we are with. My concern would be that my partner or partners are engaging with other people and bringing back foreign energy that my body isn’t going to like and it will mess up my inner energy.

I also believe just physical touch transfers energy too, but definitely a lot less so.

My belief is most of this energy dissipates after about 10 days or so… is it possible to have a poly relationship dynamic when i don’t want whoever my partners to “overlap” sexual energy with me ? Basically a 10 day buffer between sexual acts between sex with me, and if they had sex with someone else?
