This subject matter could potentially be misconstrued as KTP versus parallel... But my intention is not to split those hairs.

I have an overwhelming, positive sense of compersion for my wife Sarah when she is with her other partner. She asked if I would take the kids out of the house so they could enjoy some alone time, and of course I'm happy to do that. Sarah suggested that I take the kids to the local beach and let them wade into the water, but warned me that they probably wouldn't want to go all the way in cause the water would be too cold. I did bring them to the beach, but they got fully submerged clothes and all. By 6:30 - 7:00 the sun was setting, and it was getting cold, and we hadn't anticipated the kids soaking all their clothes ao I had no towels or dry clothes.

If I wasn't able to pick up dry clothes from the house, the kids would have to wait for an hour and a half to 2 hours keeping warm inside of my car with the heater on, with absolutely nothing to do and nowhere to go.

I contacted my wife to briefly ask if she was okay if my kids did overnight at a friend's house, and to ask if I could pick up some dry clothes/overnight bag from the house.

I realize that dealing with the situation was going to take 5 to 10 minutes out of here alone time so we could work out details (When the kids get dropped off, or when the kids get picked up, and how I can get the dry clothes from the house with as little interruption of her time as possible). This could be a 5 minute conversation, and then I'd walk into the house (with their forknowledge) and take 5-10 minutes getting dry/overnight clothes.

I know this is less then ideal for her, but if our community is so poor, and are parallel relationships are unable to mingle even slightly when unforeseen circumstances arise, then what's the point of even engaging in this poly community/lifestyle?

My wife was in tears, scolding me for interrupting their alone time...how dare I suggest me and her boyfriend be in the same house at the same time for as little as 5 min!?!

But if the rules are reversed, all I would ask for is a heads up that she's going to come into the house and get dry clothes so she doesn't see me and my girlfriend 'buck-naked banging on the bathroom floor'... So to say.

I'm guessing her boyfriend now has little respect for me as I didn't respect "his time" either. Idk...😞
