Hi everyone! My wife (40) and I (41) decided to open up about a month ago (after over a year of casual discussions & 3 months of intense couples therapy & many many long conversations). She just left for her first overnight with a guy she met on Feeld. I am having ALL the feelings.

A bit of backstory: We both got on Feeld at the same time. She connected really fast and deeply with a guy (he does seem really great; not terribly different from me). I also connected with someone though it doesn’t look like it will happen. I understand that this is just how it goes for a guy like myself (cis straight).

I admit. I fucked this up. Her original date got postponed since she got covid. I had a concert to go to so I would not be in the exact situation I’m in now. 20 min before I got home tonight she texted that her guys’ sched. changed and would I be OK with her going tonight. I said yes. She is SO into this guy; massive NRE and has been miserable waiting to see him and get physical. They did have a short “hike” date and I was totally fine, excited even.

But it is hitting different tonight. Its a mystery!!!! Hahaha Seriously, it’s rougher than I thought.

Tl;dr First night is rough. How did you all do that first night they walked out to the new partner?
