Im sorry if this comes off too whiny ahead of time. My girlfriend and I have been together since august I entered her relationship being that her other boyfriend is asexual. We met online but FaceTime and communicate constantly with plans to move closer this summer. I was okay with the arrangement the way that it was but she’s brought up more and more frequently wanting to add others to the relationship. The only issue I have they would only be for her. There’s no intimacy between we love each other and love spending time together but I feel as though we both crave more. She has mad it clear only she can be Polly add and subtract partners and gets bitter jealous. Compliments and (harmless flirting) as she calls it when she does it. She even goes to the extent to “get back” at me by doing the same but there are certain people she openly flirts with them calls it harmless then openly compliment not like he’s hot or handsome like crazy in detail while I’m around. I’m not mad she does it but the double standards. If you want to be able to open things then I should to. Everytime I try to bring up how it makes me feel I always end up apologizing about how I feel because she says I’m overreacting. Then I end up mad because I realize nothing changed and I’m not overreacting and I’m entitled to my opinions. Advice from more experienced people in poly relationships or just more knowledgeable people I want to bring up opening things up on both ends bc I can’t take the double standards 🙁
