Did anyone else’s narc strongly agree to do something then immediately act as if you forced them into doing that thing?
Post Body

Hi, I’ve been ruminating about my nex a lot lately. Even though I’ve been NC for over 6 months. I’ve posted about her multiple times the past 12-14 months if anyone wants to know more they can check my post history.

I try not to post about her anymore because I want to move on and my ruminating thoughts is just same shit over and over.

Anyway, one behavior that I haven’t seen discussed much is agreeing to do something then immediately acting as if you had a gun to their head.

The most obvious example is when we first started dating. We got up from a nap and I asked if she still wanted to get dinner. She said yea, I asked if she was sure and it was fine if not. Immediately, she’s rudely insists “yes, yes, of course” then as she’s getting ready, literally two minutes later, she starts groaning and stomping her feet. She whined, “Do we have to do this, I really don’t want to” . I just remembered sitting there absolutely bewildered by her sudden change. Like you just scowled at me that you wanted to do this. I even asked if you were sure???!!!!

Another example is I asked if she cared if I put a certain show. She said she didn’t care. Literally a minute later, she goes “you know when you watch a show too much and it’s not funny anymore, that’s how I feel about this show.” LIKE WTF YOU JUST AGREED TO THIS.

It got to a point where I had to guess whether she wanted to do something or not because I knew she would never be honest about it.

Anyone else have the same experience ? Why do they do this? Why can’t they just say no? Are they that bad at taking accountability ?
