My brother is bipolar and getting Electro shock , I am panicking

My little brother is 29 and has been suffering from BO for 4yrs now. He is currently in a Psych Hospital because he is so deeply depressed. He is talking about getting ECT, I know it’s his choice but I am so concerned about memory loss and long term effects. Also he was just switched last week to Latuda for depression and I’ve read great reviews from others with BP, I wish him and his doctors would wait 3-4 weeks to see if this med works before they go ahead with ECT.

My brother and his BP is a big trigger for me and I try to keep myself from worrying so much about him and my parents but I can’t help but worry.
