I've been a lurker for a while, and enjoy seeing and reading any posts I see from this sub. Decided to join! As the title suggests I'm already deep (1.25y) into IF parameters and practices. It just doesn't seem to be moving the needle anymore. I'm not sure where to turn, but my eating window is already only 6ish hours, and I could see myself being able to go down to OMAD without much struggle.
I'm in for the long haul in terms of the investment it takes to shift weight and for it to be sustainable/easy to maintain. IF helped me curb binge habits and snacking entirely, but I'm finding I now barely get hungry again by the time my eating window is set to end and 'have to' eat again. I'm currently weighing out the options (pun intended hehehe) of either going into a deeper deficit or trying OMAD. I'm going to place some stats about myself below, please stop reading now if any mentions of weight/goal weight/calorie intake per day etc. is triggering or difficult to read. All thoughts or applicable advice are welcomed!
Stats & facts:
34F, Caucasian. No preexisting conditions.
Current phase for all of March: 1600-1700 daily calorie total, 100g /- protein ideal, 6-6.5h eating window (1-7p or 730p, max.).
Omnivore, no allergies or aversions.
180lbs, muscular, athletic build. I do not weigh in daily, but I was at my GP on 3/19 and that's what it said.
Heavy weights, low impact cardio, and dynamic movement/balance are all regularly incorporated into my workouts (of which there are 3-4 per week).I would love to hear from anyone who also works out at this level and are in my age range-ish!!!
My weight goal is somewhere between 150-160lbs. This will greatly depend on how I feel and look once I'm approaching these numbers.
I cook 98% of my own meals; meal prepping and macro/calorie tracking using a food scale does not tend to bother me or make me obsess. I'm fortunate to have the time to do this and that I have the ability to self-regulate, in both respects.
