Advice needed regarding what I should do at the gym whilst intermittent fasting
Post Body

Hi guys, I previously asked about how to lose weight etc and was suggested to try fasting and counting calories. By doing this I’ve lost around about 10 pounds and I’m at 183 now.

So whilst thinking about how to lose more weight last week I came up with the idea of going to the gym finally!

I never know what to do at the gym and struggle to come up with a workout routine.

I’ve started the couch to 5k programme and have successfully completed week 1. Without too much difficulty.

At the gym I just use the treadmill or bike and do about 10 minutes of ab exercises. Usually totalling about an hour. 30 mins cardio, 15 mins bike and 10 minutes on ab exercises.

My question to you is spread out into 4 questions.

Can I lose weight and build muscle?

Do you have any tips or workout plans for somebody who is new to actually going to gym (planning on going 6 days a week) ?

What would be best for my body composition. I carry all of my weight in my midsection, belly and hips and some in my thighs.

I’ve been doing everything you’ve told me and want to build muscle whilst losing weight at a rapid rate and I think the gym will help me.

How do I take advantage of newbie gains in order to get rid of my huge belly and sort out my skinny arms?

All advice is welcome, thanks guys!!
