Just a quick question. Keep in mind I’m using a digital scale to get a rough estimate of where I’m at, I know they are far from accurate. I’m 6’1, 175 pounds as of this morning. I do weightlifting 5x a week, with 20 minutes stairs after each session. Work generally has me walking 6,000-10,000 steps. I’m eating about 1800 calories, low carb, higher fat right now, because I seem to plateau around 12.5% body fat(according to scale). It’s been effective so far, down to 12.2(again, shitty inaccurate scale). The issue is that for every .1 pound of body fat, I seem to lose .4-.6 pounds of muscle mass. My macros are:
Calories: 1,848 Protein: 45% Fat: 39% Carbs: 16%
I can see and feel I’m losing fat, but should I eat more to retain more muscle? I’m afraid I’ll lose the 0.1 loss if I do, but at this rate, I’ll lose more muscle than I’d like. Any clarification or advice would be greatly appreciated. Halp.
