Hi folks - long time lurker but I rarely post. I learn so much from all of you and am grateful for this sub! So...I just turned 57 last week. Iโm tryna turn everything around after letting myself go the past 4 years after a pectoralis major tear and repair via surgery. I have been trying to cut and am using the carbon app faithfully. I am 6โ1โ and after cutting since February I weigh 184 pounds. Current daily calorie target is 1918 (149 P / 164 C / 74 fat). I have been diligent about meeting my protein goal every day and am usually pretty successful at not exceeding the carbs max, although my fat grams get up into the upper 70s and low 80s some days. I lift (mostly upper body) faithfully 3 times a week and also usually do two to three 20-30 minute cardio workouts every week. I cannot seem to lose the belly fat though! Thereโs this very unsightly squishy fat blob that when I squeeze is about the size of a large baked potato that just stays around my belly button. I would be very grateful for any suggestions. (Iโm not quite confident enough to post any pics, but if from reading this anyone has good ideas for me to tweak the workouts or the eating plan, I am open to your wisdom!)
