I feel like we need to talk more about the potential for diet-induced BMR fluctuation on this sub. If you cut and you start losing weight, how much can your BMR slow to compensate? Is this a factor in the long-term? Do the higher calories on workout days neutralize this tendency?

Not that this matters at all, of course, given the "check your results and modify" approach typically promoted by redditors on this sub, but an interesting topic nonetheless. Any must-read reference sites would be appreciated.

BMR is rediced because your body weight is reduced.
Even in extreme cases as anorexia it takes pretty long period of time (months) to reduce the BMR and is die to a metabolic damage.
I would say BMR reduction is a falacy, it just decreases as you do.
