STATS
HEIGHT - 5'11
WEIGHT - 245
BF - ~18%
http://imgur.com/9y2jtHL BODY FAT readout
So I went to visit my nutritionist the other day.
I had blood work done to check my liver functions, kidney functions, and cholesterol.
Everything is good on that end. My nutritionist wanted to make sure I was healthy to start.
Anyway, I told her I was interested in doing a cut. I am currently doing IF, and want to remain doing IF because I love working out fasted.
We took my body weight, height, and BF%.
For the body fat, we used a body composition analyzer machine called Futrex 5500 XL. At my current weight and height, the machine put me at 18%. We did 3 runs to average it out. First was 17.2, second run was 18.2, and last run was 18.7. I would estimate I am between 18-20% given the values and fluctuation with the beginning input of 245lbs. (I fluctuate about 4-5 lbs every couple days)
We also inputted a bunch of other information and these are my macros.
Caloric maintenance - 2910
Caloric intake for the cut - 2410
Protein intake for the cut - 314
Carb intake for the cut - 167
Fat intake for the cut - 54
I was really surprised that my necessary protein intake is that high.
I wanted a second opinion regarding the protein. I am unsure of what formula she was using to calculate my required macros, but I told her I wanted to be a little on the conservative side, so we are starting with a deficit of 500 cals. After about a month, I'm going to re-evaluate my stats with her and we are going to make adjustments and I'm going to try for a 1k calorie deficit.
I was also asking about how to eat the carbs required because I never used to eat too many carbs, but I am going to be opting for about 2 cups of brown rice and a cup of oats every day. Any other suggestions?
Fats will just be nuts and meat.
Anyway, I appreciate your time and inputs regarding the situation. Thanks for your help.
edit : Thanks for the responses so far guys! To be clear, I am not paying her.
