Hey all. New to Reddit and fairly new to keto. Started slowly about a month ago, more serious for the last two weeks.
Little bio, I'm 30yo, male, 6ft, 220lb. Judging by pictures associated with bf% I've seen I'd say I'm around the 15-20 mark.
About 4 years ago I ballooned up to 265lbs. Said this shit isn't cool and started eating cleanly and did insanity for a summer. At my lowest I got down to around 195lb. Started Judy lifting weights and got back up to around 225 with a soft midsection and love hands (my biggest insecurity). I've been doing Crossfit at least 3 times a week but shoot for 5 days. I've always been athletic so I took to it fairly quickly. I have a very active job. I work in an emergency department running around all day.
I'm very fit and toned upper body and legs but can't get rid of my belly or love handles. It's gotten better with all the cardio in crossfit but still kind of stuck. The keto diet has taken some inches of without losing any weight. (I'm totally anti scale lol)
My main question is using the MyFitnessPal app it says I should be around 3,080 calories daily. I'm always far under that. My fat intake on a bad day is as low as 60%. Carbs on a bad day near 30%. And protein around 20% on average.
Just wondering if anyone has any tips to help speed up the process. Or if I'm even in ketosis. I've always been told you'll feel it and know and I'm pretty positive I usually am in ketosis. I feel great, feel skinny, never bloated anymore like with heavy carbs. I IF most days 16/8. Stop at 8pm eat by noon or 1. The shirtless pics are the most recent I have by my mid section is only slightly smaller than that now. Thanks guys.
